In English, that is -- I'd then translate it to my language and upload it to my site I could do it myself, but I think it would be fun to do it together, don't you think? It could be a short dialogue between a couple of people (think of language school books), or maybe a short story. It doesn't have to be too serious or super polished native English -- we'll make it work.

I'm open for suggestions, please post yours below if you wish! We can have more than one!

I'm interested in putting my language to the test, and would like to gather some short excerpts of text to my site. If there's something I can't do with the current grammar, I'll make up new rules and words I would also explain on my site why the text was translated as it was.

As I wrote in my project website ([link], I've now closed the submission form and begun finalizing the book. It has gone through two prototypes already and I'm quite confident the 3rd will be the final one. You'll be hearing from this project in upcoming journal entries, but at the project website there's a work log that I update more often, so have a look if you like (I recently wrote a small 'making of' in there).

I find it funny they have all those sections up simultaneously at their website. All respects to those who do own one - now you know that it wasn't the sticker helping you out, but it all actually came from yourself. What it does make you wonder, however, is what you lacked before when you thought you need something this silly. I'd probably sum it up with the word self-esteem, what about you?

I'm just letting you know I've updated my severely outdated web portfolio ([link]. The old one got scrapped completely and this new one was written from the ground up. It's now a lot easier for me to maintain, so maybe this time the latest blog entry won't be from a year ago

Anybody from around those corners?

It was absolutely fantastic. I give huge props to you British people (at least you living in London) for your politeness and courtesy. As a Finn I'm not used to people repeatedly saying 'sorry' and 'excuse me' but I love it and wish more people around here would be as corteous.

So I was travelling with my spouse and we went to see a couple of musicals - Wicked and The Lion King. And let me say I was totally blown away by them, Wicked especially (we had bad seats at the Lion King.. :/ ). I've never ever before witnessed such talent.. man ..!!

And that's not all. My spouse has this wonderful cousin living in Camden Town near the London city centre and she managed to get us (VIP) tickets to a Passion Pit concert with Ellie Goulding as the warm-up artist! While I'm not terribly familiar with the artists I must say we had a great time and I kinda feel sad for having to leave London after such a short time (4 days).

I hope you living in London take a moment to think about how priviledged you are for having the chance to live in one of the most remarkable cities in the world.

After being put through some really depressing, slushy weather during the start of the Winter here in Oulu, it seems the 2010 really brought a proper winter once and for all! I took my new monopod outside the day before yesterday and the freezing weather quickly froze the whole ballhead I had attached to it.



I'm interested, what kind of weather is it where you're living? Do you think the climate has changed around your area during the years?
